Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how BidGauge ("BidGauge," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the BidGauge application and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account information — name, email address, and login credentials used to create and access your account, including information provided through Google Sign-In.
- Business and project data — information you or your organization enter into the Service, such as proposals, estimates, schedules of values, payment applications, service tickets, pricing data, and related documents and files you upload.
- Usage information — basic technical data such as device and browser type, approximate location derived from IP address, and how you interact with the Service, used to keep it secure and functioning correctly.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- Authenticate users and secure accounts;
- Process the estimating, billing, and project-management functions you use within the Service;
- Respond to support requests and communicate with you about your account;
- Diagnose problems, maintain security, and improve the reliability of the Service.
If you sign in using Google, we only request the minimum information necessary to create and secure your account (such as your name and email address). BidGauge's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers — with infrastructure and third-party providers that help us operate the Service (for example, cloud hosting and storage, authentication, and, where applicable, tax-rate or government rate lookup services), solely to perform functions on our behalf.
- Within your organization — business and project data is visible to other authorized users within your own company account, as intended by the Service.
- Legal requirements — if required to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or a valid governmental request.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to the same obligations described in this Policy.
4. How We Protect Information
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect information, including encryption of data in transit, access controls restricting who can view or modify data, and reputable cloud infrastructure providers for hosting and storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect information using commercially reasonable measures appropriate to its sensitivity.
5. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
6. Your Rights and Choices
You may request to access, correct, update, or delete your personal information, or ask questions about how your information is handled, at any time by contacting us at info@bidgauge.software. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
